Orascom Telecom, one of Egypt’s largest telecommunications operators, posted a 9% increase in quarterly revenue with the subscription growth that its total number of subscribers rise to 83 million. The net profit of the company for the second quarter is at $27 million. 

Data usage has also been another factor in the Middle East telecom’s profit increase. With the rise in revenues, Orascom has more than exceed expectations, especially after falling short of the first quarter’s prediction.
